Fittings with this surfacing is not suitable for products that are longer in contact with water and chemicals. Nickel forms only a protective layer for the fittings and its surface cannot withstand higher mechanical loads. The fittings is not suitable for products where there is the greater and permanent mutual and tensile friction of two nickel surfaces. Chromium is a pale white, shiny, very hard metal. A thin layer of chromium not only protects the surface of the haberdashery fittings from corrosion but also increases its hardness. It has similar chemical and physical properties to nickel.
The welded fittings has a regular greater tensile strength than the non-welded one. In products using welded fittings no deformation of the D rings occurs in tension as well as no damage of the product materials from non-welded edges of the D rings.

Use: for haberdashery fittings with smaller loads for tension, sports bags and backpacks, which are expected for occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions. Collars and harnesses for smaller dog breeds (poodle, Yorkshire Terrier, Dachshund…). Handbags, bags, briefcases, cases and other small haberdashery fittings.

Zinc is a shiny blue-white metallic element. It is very malleable and has good leaking properties. Haberdashery fittings produced from zinc is cast in molds and by subsequent nickel surfacing.
Use: Haberdashery fittings cast from zinc is suitable for goods where you need subtle fittings with less tension in load. Sports bags, collars and harnesses for smaller dog breeds (poodle, Yorkshire Terrier, Dachshund…). Handbags, bags, briefcases, cases and other small haberdashery fittings.

Brass is an alloy of copper and tin, with the addition of other metals (e.g. aluminum, manganese, lead). The ratio of these metals gives brass its unique properties. It has high resistance to corrosion, acids, alkalis and high temperatures. Haberdashery fittings is made by casting the brass.

Use: brass haberdashery fittings is suitable for haberdashery products where there are expected higher loads in weather conditions, acids and bases. Most recently haberdashery fittings has been produced from stainless steel (high-alloy steel). It contains a large proportion of chromium, nickel, manganese and other metals causing its resistance to corrosion. Stainless steel has increased resistance to chemical and electrochemical corrosion. Corrosion resistance is based on the ability of the so-called subjecting of iron surfaces. Stainless steel has very good mechanical properties – solidity in tensile and pressure.
